ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES (Main job responsibilities)
Act as a Project Manager (on individual study basis) for all reports
and studies assigned by the respective clients. The person must have a
sound understanding of Project Management and communication, coaching
and technical advisory skills. He is to be responsible for delivering
accurate reports. A Project Manager is also responsible for managing
jobs within SM as time set targets.

SPECIFICATION
Education:'Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering / related discipline

Work Experience
5-6 years in Oil & Gas Consultancy experience

Languages & Computer Skills:
Fluency in written and spoken English . PC literacy : MS Office

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
LEVEL
1)To have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of Project
Management i.e. planning of time, cost and resources for each project.
2) To constantly coach subordinate Consultants on technical issues,
latest Engineering practises in order for them to execute the project
accurately and in timely manner.
3)To constantly communicate with senior technical authorities by
giving inputs and feedbacks on the progress of the projects.
4)To provide technical support to Proposal Department on related
proposals on a timely manner.
5)To effectively communicate and discuss with clients on the results
and findings of the project so that the objective of the project are
met and correct solutions are provided during kick-off and progress
meetings so that the objective of the project is on the right track.
6)To conduct post-morterm meetings for each completed project with
team members in order to share findings and to create a technical
repository for future reference.
7)Should project and aim to eliminate bottlenecking and take ownership
of project/s to ensure timely completion and avoid setbacks on gross
margin.
8)To have systematic decision making skills
9)To provide critical input and be responsible for value addition and
reports particularly in conclusion and recommendation sections.
10)Planning of jobs and delegating responsibilities to juniors at
internal kick off stage for projects.
11)Overall management of projects and effective use of Project
Management Forecast.

• Feasibility / Conceptual / De-bottlenecking studies.
• Detail Design - P&ID and PFD conception and development, Development
of Heat and Material balance, Specification of Relief and Blowdown
system, Equipment and Instrument sizing, rating and preparation of
data sheets, Line lists/Tie-in schedules/Cause and Effects/Safe
Charts, Preparation of Pumps, Compressors and Control valve hydraulic
profiles and line sizing, Produced/Reviewed operating philosophies and
procedures.
• Process engineering simulation software PROII, HYSYS and cost
estimation tool Questor.
• Familiar with material selection aspects of process plant.
• Familiar with safety aspects and recommended practices used in the
design and operation of offshore/onshore production plants.
• Familiar with various Operator design standards eg. BP, Shell,
PETRONAS, Talisman etc
• Involved in numerous proposals - cost estimation, and man- hour
estimation.
• Technical Integrity check of project deliverables through execution
of QA/QC functions, by means of HAZOP, Process Optimisation studies,
PEER/Line Review, Project Integrated Review, Project Risk Assessment
in compliance with company standards, International codes and
standards and best practices, local authorities or government
regulations. This scope includes validation of all designs,
calculations, scope of work, specifications, bills of quantities,
drawing and reports.
• Plan, execute, control and supervise engineering work and project
execution activities.
• Train and develop skill capability and expertise of Junior Engineers.

Maintains executive secretary and / or administration assistant activities

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Receiving, Preparing and sending faxes, e-mails and other
correspondence as directed.
* Answers incoming telephone calls, investigates purpose, and forwards

* Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when

* Attending meetings and other events as directed and taking minutes
and notes.
* Assisting other Company staff in the implementation of their
components if so directed by the Manager;
* Cooperating with and supporting all other members of the Company
Team as required;
* All other activities related to the day-to-day activities of the
Company.
* Daily Budgeting and Supplies Procurement
* Information Research and Summarization via Internet and
Subscriptions
* Perform any additional tasks requested by the Manager.





QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The following skills and experience are required to fulfil the specific
tasks:



* Oral and written fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge of other
languages (German) is an asset
* Excellent typing skills (Arabic & English), computer literacy,
especially word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
