Post# 1: Sales Trainer

Job Description:

The Sales Trainer will be responsible for driving the professional development of the entire Global Sales organization from a sales readiness perspective.

Provides advanced level sales training for Account Executives, Sales Consultants and others involved in the Sales Process. Develops and delivers sales training curricula that addresses, "Complex Selling" into Targeted Accounts and will run training classes and utilize other training methodologies to ensure consistent application of sales tools and techniques. Through training, coaching and shadowing will ensure the consistent application of sales approach and methodologies across the company’s sales organization. Prepares and updates training materials for both new hire and ongoing sales training efforts. Provides individualized sales training based on individual or sales team needs. Maintains and updates sales training documentation and materials. Operates with little supervision with the training team.

Personal Situation:

Must be mature and domestically secure. Able to spend one or two nights away per month without upsetting domestic situation. Able to commute reliably to office base. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.

Critical Competencies and Minimum Years of Experience:
· Individual must be a dynamic presenter. Proven success as a sales trainer in reputable sales organization is a plus. Strong training and coaching skills are required as are strong sales background.
· 2 - 3 years of experience is required.
· 1 - 2 years experience required in a sales training position with specific expertise on presentation and coaching skills.
· Expert written and verbal communication skills required.
· Possesses the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge in sales training and development.

Minimum Level of Education:
B.A. or B.S. is required.

Travel Requirements:
25% travel might be required.

Experience: Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar position is required.

Computer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office 2003, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email.

Management Ability: Though internal staff management is not initially part of the job, responsibility and opportunity could grow with the development of the business, for example the prospect of recruiting and managing support staff. Some people-management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful.

Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior big company executives. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Well presented and businesslike. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
