Junior Java Developer

OpenCraft www.open-craft.com is looking for a Junior Java Developer.

Software Developers at OpenCraft work on cutting-edge technologies and interact with a worldwide community of open source developers. As part of the OC solution team, under the supervision of the Technical Project Manager, they are responsible for extending and customizing OpenCraft systems according to given specifications.

Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 2-3 years professional Java development experience: J2SE, JDBC, JSP
- A working knowledge of the concepts of coding quality and software lifecycle, as applied to the Java environment
- Fluent oral and written English skills
- Experience with open source development is considered a a plus

- Thoroughly understanding the code base of OpenCraft systems and customizing their data model, business logic, and user interface layers.
- Problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting technical aspects of the system using all available research material inside OpenCraft and online.
- Understanding technical requirements and design documents and using them as a basis for coding activities.
- Delivering production-quality, object-oriented code that exhibits desirable qualities of simplicity, economy, readability, robustness and maintainability.
